RD’s Favorite Protein Bar: RXBAR
Recently I shared my love for protein bars. I love how protein bars can make a convenient snack or easy meal replacement when you’re short on time. Protein bars curb my sweet tooth cravings and help me hit my protein goals.
Many protein bars have ingredient lists that make you wonder how many years they’ll take off my life. Not only that but sometimes protein bars can really hurt my stomach and cause bloating.
Even as a nutrition professional, I’m not perfect and sometimes I fall short on planning ahead and making my own protein bars.
So, that begs the question (again), what’s a girl to do?
RXBAR to the rescue!
RXBARs are seriously a life saver. Each bar contains the same base ingredients of egg whites for protein, dates to bind, and nuts for texture. RXBARs have a simple, real-food ingredient list with names you can actually pronounce such as fruit (apples, blueberries, and pumpkin), cocoa, and spices (sea salt, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon).
